Week 7 4th May

The Battle has begun! Year 3 are winning at the moment!

VE Day

Thursday 7th May 2020

We've absolutely loved seeing so many of you on our video calls this week, it has really put big smiles on our faces smiley. Thank you so much for taking part, we can't wait to do them again. Your teachers will be in touch with dates and times soon.

We will not be setting any work for tomorrow, as this Friday 8th May marks VE Day, when the country will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of the fighting in Europe, during the Second World War.

We were going to hold a special celebration day in school, but as we can't all be together, Miss Thompson has put together some special VE Day activities for you to do to hold your own special day at home. She asks that you take photographs of your preparations or celebrations related to VE Day and email them to your teachers; she will then post them on our Facebook page for all to see!

Memories of Wartime

Miss Thompson's Nan shares her memories of what life was like for her during World War II.

Some more fantastic work!

We hope you are enjoying the video calls - it has been lovely to see and chat to so many of you again. Today, we want to give a huge MANOR PRIMARY SHOUT OUT to these children who have been on Times Tables Rockstars in the last 2 weeks - well done!

Maya, Riley, Darcy, Ruby S, Oskar, Jaiden, Natalia, Olivia J, Leo, Max

Look out on Thursday for a BATTLE between year 3s and year 4s on TTRS, make sure you take part!

Finally, please discuss the online e-safety lesson today with your parents.

Have a great day! smiley

Still working hard ...

Japanese Maths- by Sehar

It's week 7 already!

We've now been off school during this lock-down than we are for a long summer break. We're really missing you all lots! It's been lovely to chat with you and your parents on email and the phone over the last week or so. Our classes are in the middle of our first round of video calls too, and we're really excited to help you have a bit of a chat with each other too!

It's SO important not to get lonely during lock-down, so please keep in touch with us! We love hearing what you've been up to, even when it's nothing to do with school work!

This week there's a Bank Holiday on Friday to commemorate VE Day, so we won't be posting any home learning for Friday. We'll be looking at the VE Day commemorations a bit, so you might want to do a bit of research about it beforehand so you're a few steps ahead of us!
