Welcome to Magpie
Our Class Aims
In Magpie class our aim is to encourage children to be independent learners and to always strive for success, at the same time as giving them a love and enjoyment for learning. Children are encouraged to feel comfortable when being themselves and asking questions and are taught that the classroom is a safe environment in which everyone is equal. We encourage children to be inquisitive and to gain a wider knowledge of the world around them, as we teach them topics of interest.
Meet Our Team
Miss R Thompson
I have been a teacher at Manor since 2012, after studying Psychology at Bournemouth University and completing a Graduate Teaching Programme. I became a teacher because I wanted to give children the opportunity to enjoy school as much as I did. Getting the opportunity to watch each child progress and grow is the highlight of each day.
Miss J Hodgson
I started working at Manor in 1999 and have enjoyed working with children right across the school. In recent years I have enjoyed being a staff governor, taking particular interest in supporting the school's health and safety work. I enjoy encouraging children to develop their confidence and independence skills as they get ready for the next step in their lives.
