Week 7 (4th - 7th May)
VE Day 75
Hi everyone, it's Miss Thompson! Tomorrow will be the 75th anniversary of VE Day (the day that World War 2 ended in Europe). When schools closed, I was planning a big whole school party in the playground, which would have taken place if we were still at school. I still want us to celebrate as a school, so your only work for tomorrow will be to have a party at home with your family! Above, is a pack with some activities that will help you prepare for your party (don't worry, they don't involve you writing!) I have given it to you a day early so you can do the baking activities today instead of rushing tomorrow. I have also posted a video of my Nan talking about what life was like for her during the war. Please email me any photos of your party and your preparations for it (rthompson@manor.reading.sch.uk)
Enjoy
