In this lesson, we will be starting with writing a complex sentence with a relative clause. Next, we will look at where we would be gathering evidence or information from if we were journalists writing our own newspaper reports. We will then learn how to take notes when gathering information. Lastly, we will practise how to use brackets in sentences.

In this lesson, you will recap on sentence types: compound, simple and complex. You will then recap on the definitions of the different word class categories. Following this, you will sort words into their word classes and lastly, identify word classes in different sentence types.
Year 6 Maths - Fractions to Decimals (2)
Today, you will be focussing on fractions to decimals by using division. You will need to remember how to use short division (the bus stop method) which you used in lessons the other week. If you are finding it difficult, complete page 1 of the worksheet only. If you want the extra challenge, complete the Year 6 Maths challenge after you have completed the worksheet.
Year 5 Maths - Divide 3-digits by 1-digit
Today, you will be continuing your work with dividing numbers by dividing a 3-digit number by a 1-digit number. Watch the video below before you complete the worksheet. In this lesson, you are going to explore percussion by using everyday objects and your body. Have fun!

In P.E this week, you will be doing a 'Joe Wicks' workout. Try and do this everyday if you can but make sure you do it at least twice. You can find different work-outs in the link below if you get bored of doing the same one. Good Luck and stay healthy!

Each day, there will be a different feature of journalistic writing to focus on so at the end of the unit when you write your final piece, you have all the key features needed to write an amazing piece of writing. As always, don't throw any of your work away, keep it so you can refer back to it in other lessons. We hope you enjoy this writing unit!

You all have your logins and passwords that we gave to you during the first week of home learning.
