Welcome to Dove

Our Class Aims

In Dove class, we encourage children to be friendly, kind and caring towards each other.  We build on the skills that they began to develop in Foundation Stage and encourage them to become independent, confident and resilient learners.  Our aim is to have a classroom environment where every child is happy and confident so they are able to thrive and achieve their full capability.

Meet Our Team

Mrs C Haines

I have now been teaching for about 16 years, starting my career at Manor Primary after completing a music degree and PGCE in primary education.  From a young age I wanted to work with children as they are energetic, lively and all have individual and vibrant personalities making each working day unique.  It’s fantastic to watch every child develop, both academically and personally.  In my spare time, I enjoy socialising with friends and spending quality family time with my husband and two children.

Mrs J Taylor

I started at Manor 22 years ago, first of all as a lunchtime assistant then working voluntarily in Nursery with the occasional time spent supporting pupils in Goldfinch class. I then progressed to being a level three Teaching Assistant and am currently working with Year 1 after having worked with Years 2, 3 & 4. After school I devote my time to running a successful Phonics club. I have 2 children and 3 gorgeous grandchildren that take up most of my time. However, when I do get time I love to bake and spend time in the garden- weather permitting!

Additional KS1 Support

Mrs T Slade

I have been a Teaching Assistant for over 20 years. I love supporting the children in their learning and enjoy watching each of their different personalities develop. I like to be creative and come up with a variety of activities that children can take part in to develop their skills and knowledge whilst having fun at the same time.

Mrs J Mackie

I started my career in childcare as a childminder which I did for 17 years before moving to Manor Primary 5 years ago as a volunteer. I then obtained my NVQ progressing to an Early Years Practitioner. I chose this path after my son was born and I realised the importance of providing children with a broad range of experiences and opportunities which were fun and engaging, crafting the children to be confident and independent
