Week 2

Friday 3rd April

 

Physical Development- Join in with Joe Wicks as he hosts a live workout from 9am. The workout will last 30 minutes and will inspire and energise you to get active, bounce around and have fun! Click here to join in!

 

Literacy- Using the formation rhymes, practice your letter formation and write out each letter of the alphabet.

 

Maths- Have a look at the 2d shapes below. Name each shape and describe the shapes to a family member. Now, without looking, get a family member to describe one of the shapes to you. Can you guess what shape they are describing? E.g. this shape has 3 sides and 3 corners. 

 

Expressive Arts- Have a sing and dance along to the Kidz Bop Kidz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIv6rT8cMuQ

 

PSED- Help your family with one job around the house. Perhaps you could lay the table or help fold the clean washing.

Literacy- Watch the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Name all of the characters in the story. Now retell the story to your family.

 

Maths- Draw a picture using different shapes. Look at the pictures below for examples.

 

EAD- Using paint, crayons or felt tip pens, create your own version of Van Goghs Sunflower painting.

Literacy- Watch the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. What foods did the caterpillar eat? In your work books write down 5 foods that you enjoy eating and 3 foods that you dislike. 

 

Maths- Using the shapes from yesterday, can you work out the answers to the shape number sentences?

 

EAD- What did the hungry caterpillar turn into at the end of the story? That's right a butterfly! Draw or paint your own picture of a butterfly. How many different colours can you use?

 

Physical Development- Before you go to bed, join Jamie and take part in some Very Hungry Caterpillar Yoga

Maths- Look at the following picture and name the different shapes that you can see. How many of each shape can you spot?

PSED- How are you feeling today? How are your family feeling? Draw how everyone is feeling in your workbooks.

Literacy- Write a couple of sentences in your work books to describe your weekend. 'At the weekend I...'

 

Maths- Become a shape detective and try to find objects in your house that are one each of the following shapes- circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval, star and heart. Take a picture and ask a grown up to upload it to Tapestry or email it to Miss Fryer-Saxby. How many shapes from the list can you find?

 

Understand the World- From your garden or when you go out for a walk, collect some leaves. Investigate the colours and patterns of the leaves. Using the pictures below as an idea, create your own leaf picture and upload to Tapestry or email it to Miss Fryer-Saxby. If you can't go for a walk, draw your own leaf picture in your workbooks.
