Good morning Year 2, 

You have all made it to the end of the week and have completed your 4th week of home learning. Thank you to all the parents, who are working hard every day, to ensure your children are learning and for sharing what they have been doing.

Reading –Draw a picture of your favourite character from ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’ and write a description about them.

Writing – Design and describe your own island that Marco and Victor would visit from ‘The Antlered Ship’.

Maths – Watch the video on Lesson 5 of ‘Find a quarter’ and then complete the questions on the sheet.

Log into ‘Times Table Rock Stars’ and complete the questions which have been set for you. Your login details are in your Home-School Diary.

Music - Go to BBC bitesize daily and follow the Year 2 Music for ‘Body Percussion’. Here you will learn about pulse and rhythm.

Good morning Year 2,

We hope that you have all had a good weekend and that you are keeping safe. We are still missing you all but are enjoying seeing all of your brilliant work, so please continue sending it to us. This week we will be doing some new learning, so make sure you look at our class page each day so that you don't miss anything important.

Reading – Read a PowerPoint about Lighthouses and answer the questions. Make sure you choose the correct PowerPoint (PowerPoint 1 is for red, yellow, blue, green, orange readers and PowerPoint 2 is for turquoise, purple, gold and free readers). There are also some challenges to complete as well, which we would love to see.

Writing – Write some sentences to describe what is happening in the picture. Use the words to help you.

Maths – Watch the video on making equal parts and then complete the questions on the sheet. As this is new learning, please let us know how you get on.
