Week 12

Friday 12th June

 

Physical Development- Join in with Joe Wicks as he hosts a live workout from 9am. Click here to join in!

 

Reading- Have a go at using your phonics to read the sentences below. Look out for the tricky words which are in red- these are words that we cannot sound out, we just have to learn them!

Writing- Practise writing out the alphabet a-z. Then practise writing your numbers 0-20. Try to form all your letters and numbers correctly. 

Maths- Can you have a go at completing the 'take-away' problems below? You could use counters to help you or use your number line and the 'counting back' method. This is similar to the counting on method you've used this week except you jump back.

Writing- Have a look at the picture below and write down 5 things about the picture. It could be 5 things that you see in the picture like 'grass' or 'slide' or it might be 5 sentences about what is happening e.g. They are playing football or the boy is on the swing.

Then add the smaller number by counting on that many jumps from the larger number. E.g. if the number sentence was 3+5 you would find 5 on the number line then count on 3 more. This is called the counting on method.
