Summer Programme
Fri 17 Jul 2020I just wanted to pass on the information that next week the Detached Youth Worker Team will be giving young people and families the opportunity to find out about what Brighter Futures For Children are offering in the Southcote area (and others).
Though they are limited by activities, due to social distancing measures, this will hopefully offer a much needed chance to re-engage young people in what could be on offer.
Please find attached poster displayed in all the community noticeboards in Southcote, which outlines the times and locations around Reading- If you have the opportunity to raise awareness through other channels, please do so
Thank you,
Joe

Tik Tok Controls
Tue 14 Jul 2020We would like to share some information that we have received from Reading Borough Council with our families:
Some children have innocently used Tik Tok from home but have in the process gained followers that they do not know, which poses obvious risks to their online safety.
In order to keep your child safe, please read the following online safety information from Vodafone https://www.vodafone.co.uk/mobile/digital-parenting/tiktok-controls which will help put safety controls in place to protect your child. Please continue to keep an interest in whatever your child is accessing online in order to ensure your child's safety. Tik Tok is recommended for children 13+.
