Years 3 & 4

Our Aims in Years 3 and 4

In years 3 and 4, our aim is to provide a safe and happy environment for every child to grow, learn and develop confidence. We appreciate every child is unique and in turn promote kindness, tolerance, understanding and working together. We love to have fun when we are learning, using a wide variety of resources and activities to do this. We have created an environment where mistakes are learning points, where sharing ideas and talking are key, where opinions matter just as much as facts. Therefore, across all three classes, we strive for progress not perfection.

Miss D Marney

I have been working in Primary Education since 2005, having worked across all key stages. I graduated from Reading University with a BA Honours Degree in Children’s Development and Learning and I became a qualified teacher in July 2020.  I enjoy working with children, enabling them to gain knowledge about their immediate environment and the wider world.

Mrs Z Harris

I started volunteering in the Nursery in 2009 to gain a Teaching Assistant Level 3 NVQ. After achieving this, I then became a full time member of the school and have since worked in FS2, Goldfinch, Year 1 and Year 5. I recently qualified as a teacher in July 2020 with a BA Honours degree in Children’s Development at Reading University. I enjoy working with children to help them develop their confidence and creativity. In my spare time I love playing darts and spending time with my family.

Mrs J Taylor

I started at Manor 23 years ago, first of all as a lunchtime assistant then working voluntarily in Nursery with the occasional time spent supporting pupils in Goldfinch class. I then progressed to being a level three Teaching Assistant and am currently working with Year 1 after having worked with Years 2, 3 & 4. After school I devote my time to running a successful Phonics club. I have 2 children and 3 gorgeous grandchildren that take up most of my time. However, when I do get time I love to bake and spend time in the garden- weather permitting!
