Wednesday 13th January

Morning Eagle Class,

First, I must apologise for abandoning you on the zoom call yesterday, my WiFi went down and I had no internet access for a while. If this were to happen again and Mrs Poole is on the call she will continue as best she can and then finish the call and if there is no adult on the call you must please leave. It was a shame as I was enjoying our different activities and I hope you were too!

Today, I have created a powerpoint video to explain the writing task, please let me know if this works better for you, I am hoping it will mean that you can work more independently and not be relying on your parents to read instructions all the time.

Remember to keep skipping or star jumping!

Writing for Phonics Groups C,D, E. Today I have recorded some audio instructions as a video. You will use the same template as yesterday to write another postcard and there is a link to listen to the story.

Maths Blue Group - Find and make number bonds

Watch the video and complete the questions. You will be using your number bonds to 10 to find number bonds to 20.
You might want to use some resources to help you, ten frames, bowls or plates for the part whole models and something for counters. If not you can draw counters instead. Remember the part whole model is just another way of representing the number shown on the ten frames.

Blue Group Maths Questions - Please note that the different coloured counters represent different numbers.

Maths Green Group - Practising adding 2-digit and 1-digit numbers crossing ten. Today you will practice what you were doing yesterday - you can use resources and drawings to help solve the calculations. If you want to, go back to yesterday's maths and watch the video again.
