Good morning to you.  I hope the weather is better for you and the sun stays out! Its the end of the week so try and do as much of the work as you can laugh

 

Reading - at least 10 minutes

 

Nessy - Monkey Town - at least 10 minutes 

 

Common Exception Words - Pick up to 5 unticked words from your list and 'Look, say, cover, write, check'.  For an extra challenge, can you write sentences including these words? Look at or use the 'Spelling practise' sheet below to help.

Optional Reading Comprehension Task

 

Read or ask your parent/sibling to read the text and then answer the question out loud or in your books.

Handwriting

Today is handwriting practice so first warm up your fingers by joining in with the video below. Then practise your 'e' and 'f'. Keep it neat and don't rush!

Tricky spellings - Colours  - Either click on the link 'Spooky Spellings' and then click on '2' to practise spelling your colours or put 5 different coloured objects on a tray.  Get your parent to remove one without you looking. Can you write down the colour of the missing object? There is a sheet below that may help you with the spelling.

Hello to you all on a slightly cold morning and I hope you are all well.  Its been really good to get some updates and work from you.  Your parents will be getting an invitation soon for you all to attend a Goldfinch online video chat with myself, Mrs Syrad and Miss Beasley.  It will be really good to see all your faces.  Keep safe smiley

Reading - at least 10 minutes

 

Nessy - Reading and spelling - at least 10 minutes

 

Common Exception Words - write 4 common exception words on 4 upside down cups.  Close your eyes while a small toy is hidden under one of them.  Say and write the word on the cup where you think the toy is hidden.  Were you right?

Memory game - use 3 identical cups. Hide a toy underneath one and then move the cups around.  Can you pick the cup which has the toy hidden underneath it?

Good morning to you all.  I hope you are all okay and looking after yourselves.  All of us in Goldfinch are really missing you. We are going to try and set up some sessions online so we can seeing your smiling faces and talk to you in small groups.  Parents, I will be in touch this week to see if this is possible smiley
