A sunny morning to you all.  Its the end of another week yes and thank you for trying your best and having a go at the work. Please find the below today's work.

 

Reading - at least 10 minutes 

 

Nessy - Monkey Town - at least 10 minutes 

 

Common Exception Words - Ask a parent or sibling to give you a spelling test on words you have been working on over the week.  Did you get some of them right? Well done, you can tick that word on your sheet.

Read or reread Starry-eyed Stan and then complete the description task.  You may also like to practise your handwriting wink

Maths Task 1 - Watch the video and complete the worksheet.

Maths Task 2 - Watch the video and complete the worksheet. Miss out 5a if you don't have a printed copy, the rest you can draw in your books.

Morning all.  I have posted the work for today below.  Remember to check out your class page for topic work.  There are lots of fun and interesting activities that you can join in with.smiley

Common Exception Words - Kim's Game - Say the word out loud as you lay out 5 of the word cards. Close your eyes (no cheating!) and get your parent or siblings to remove one.  Can you write down the missing word?  Put the word back and repeat until you've done all the words.  How did you get on? 

Pick one of the Maths tasks

Maths Task 1 - Watch the video and then complete the questions.

Why don't you make a coat hanger balance scale and weigh objects around your home.  Say what is heavier, what is lighter and weighs the same.

Maths Task 2 - watch the video and then answer the questions.

Nessy - Reading and Spelling for at least ten minutes

Common Exception Words to music - pick two words and see how many times you can write them out whilst playing your favourite song.  Can you beat your score the next time you play it? cool

Pick either Maths Task 1 or 2. Maths Task 2 is more challenging.

Optional Reading Comprehension - Parents, you or your child reads the text and answer the questions about it.

Please look at the powerpoint and discuss when you would need instructions in everyday life.

Then complete the Making a sandwich task.  There is also an optional second task today.
