Maths Falcon - Subtract two 4-digit numbers - one exchange

This should be a useful reminder about column subtraction. A couple of key reminders:
1. The largest number should always be on top
2. If you can't subtract, don't forget to exchange from the column to the left
3. If there's a 0 in that column and you need to exchange across more than one column, remember to only move one column at a time - so a 0 becomes a 10, then exchange again to make it a 9. This part is quite tricky, so go slow and think carefully if it happens!

Two problems for you today. The first one is quite nice - you might want to use a bar model to help you know what to do.

The second one is a bit trickier. Make sure you don't just add together the two numbers you can see and think you're finished!
