Summer 2019
Chaffinch Class enjoyed a trip out courtesy of Ella's Kitchen. We went to the 5 a day market based on Englefield Estate followed by an afternoon spent at Rushall Farm in Bradfield.
We explored the market garden and went digging for worms! We tasted rhubarb and mint leaves (not a very popular food choice!) before enjoying a yummy fruit smoothie made from strawberries, apples and bananas. We planted seeds that we were able to take home and explored creatures found in the garden pond.
The coach then took us to Rushall Farm where we enjoyed lunch before exploring the animals. We held newborn lambs, saw some very cheeky piglets and helped to feed the chickens. It was lovely to be outdoors and spend time exploring some of our local environment!

Some of Chaffinch class have been trying really hard with their independent writing. They have been thinking about what they would like to write and trying hard to sound out the words they need without any help!
