Goldfinch - Meet The Team

SENCo & Assistant Head - Mrs J Baker

I first joined Manor Primary School in 2017.  Over my past 20 years of teaching, I have been lucky enough to work with children from nursery age to year 6.  In 2018, I trained and qualified as a SENCo.  I absolutely love working with and supporting our SEND children.  I have a passion to help all children have the best possible start to their education so that they can reach their full potential and look back to their primary years with fond memories.  I want all of our children to feel valued and to know that they can aspire to great things in their future.  As a mother of 3, I know the challenges of being a parent and also the pressure put on our young children.  Having grown up in Southcote and attended Manor Primary School as a pupil myself, I feel a strong connection with our children and community.  In my spare time I love to spend time with my family and friends.

Early Years Practitioner - Ms A Evans

I started working at Manor when my daughter was 11 months old (she’s now managing a branch of Marks and Spencer!). I have loved working at Manor as I have worked all over the school, even though I was initially employed to work in FS1. My passion is supporting special educational needs using interventions and specific teaching plans. Working with some very talented staff over the years has enabled me to gain valuable skills and expertise. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and acting in plays.

Early Years Practitioner - Mrs J Mackie

I first started working at Manor Primary as a volunteer when my children attended Manor. I have worked in both Foundation Stage 1 and 2 as well as providing individual support for a child. I am now in  Goldfinch class, supporting our children with additional needs.  Watching these children grow and  helping them achieve their personal goals is the most rewarding part of my job. Every one of our children is an individual and supporting these children with their learning and seeing them flourish makes all the hard work worthwhile. In my spare time I am taking dancing lessons. My daughter and I are learning Ballroom and Latin - just like you see on strictly but I am not quite up to that standard just yet
