Year 5&6 art exhibition food reviews by Demi

Last Thursday, Year 5 and 6 held an art exhibition whilst serving canapés. It was held at Manor Primary School in the big hall. I had an opportunity to try some of the delicious foods they made.

There were many food options such as: meat, vegetarian, halal, vegan, sweet and savoury canapés.

First, I had the tasty toad in the hole. The base was crispy, delicious, amazing-What more could I ask for? The Yorkshire pudding was crispy and airy, the sausage was tasty and lush all making me want more.

Next, I tried the sweet macarons. The méringue were creamy, sweet, minty- Why can’t they serve this more? The inside was colourful, with mint flavour filling some would call this brilliant; others would call this heaven and so would I.

Overall the art exhibition was fantastic but the food was BRILLIANT. I recommend this for others.

Year 5&6 art exhibition food review by Alex

Last week at the Year 5 and 6 art exhibition there was lots of mouth-watering canapés try. I got to try some of the most delicious food.

There were lots of canapés to choose from. There was vegetarian, meat, vegan, sweet and savoury treats.

First, I tried the lovely macarons. Soft, delicious, delightful-

Why can’t I eat this over and over again? They were attractive and smooth with a gooey inside that makes your mouth water. The butter cream filling was creamy and colourful. I want to eat it for the rest of my life!!!

Next I tried the hot and fresh pizza. Hot, flavourful, simmetrical- Am I dreaming? It was cheesy, heavenly and tasty. The dough was spongey but the tomatoes were excellent. This is just what I wanted.

The whole art exhibition was amazing! I would recommend their cooking because it was FANTASTIC!!!

Year 5&6 art exhibition review by Rea

I was excited when I got an invitation to the year 5/6 art gallery featuring their optical illusions. As I entered, I was greeted by students and when I looked around, I saw very colourful pictures all around the hall. The most exciting part was seeing people walking around serving canapes. There was so many choices. There was: pizza, sweet tarts, quiches, macaroons and toad in the hole. As the students were handing them out, I smelled the delicious sweet tarts.

I was instantly drawn to the sweet tarts - they looked so attractive that they made my mouth water. They had smooth chocolate filling and crunchy pastry. The tarts looked so appetising that I just wanted to eat them all but I couldn't.

The other food that I liked was the macarons. They were foamy and crunchy - I just wanted to eat so many of them. They smelt minty and sweet which was delicious.

In conclusion, all of the canapes tasted delicious and everyone who made them did a great job. I would recommend the sweet tarts and the macarons.

Year 5&6 art exhibition review by Samara

I was excited when I got an invitation to the year 5/6 art gallery featuring their optical illusions. When I arrived, I was given a warm welcome by some of the students. As I looked around, I saw very colourful pictures around the hall. The most exciting part was seeing people walking around serving canapes.

There were so many canapes to taste from. I couldn't believe my eyes. There were: sweet tarts, pizza, macarons and toad in the hole. It was so delightful and tasty. I was instantly drawn to the pizza.

The pizzas were shaped like circles, stars and squares. They looked smooth and mouth-watering and smelled fragrant. It tasted so yummy. Delicious, cheesy, spicy - has this come from heaven?

The next thing I ate was the macarons. They looked mouth-watering as well. I guess they came from heaven. Minty, fresh, delicious - who made these? They looked so smooth and soft. They smelled like perfume and fruit. They were very sweet and very creamy.

I think if the exhibition happened again, I would try more new foods. I would recommend these foods to other people because of how good they were.
